Requirements for Essay – 300 Words minimum ESSAY TOPIC: How do you see yourself continuing the legacy and values of A. Phillip Randolph

DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSION:  MAY 31, 2023 (A complete application includes: transcript, essay and application)

WINNER NOTIFIED BY EMAIL/PHONE JULY 10, 2023

1. One $500 Scholarship will be awarded to student planning to continue education by attending a University or Technical College. 
2. Applicants must be a high school senior at time of application.  Applicants will submit high school transcript with application, showing a minimum of a 2.5 Grade Point Average (GPA).  All information must be included and submitted by May 31, 2023. Failure to submit everything required by deadline, will results in disqualification of application.
3. Application and Essay must be submitted to the APRI Scholarship Committee by May 31, 2023 to be eligible. In order to ensure a fair process, NO EXTENSIONS will be granted.
4. The review process will be June 1, 2023 – June 30, 2023
5. The committee will review the applications and the committee chair person will announce the winner at July 10, 2023 members meeting. We will notify the awardee via phone and/or email.
6. The awardee will be presented the scholarship award at our August monthly meeting.
